1-to-1 Live Electronic Music Performance Mentoring
I work 1-to-1 with producers and musicians who want to build confident, musical live electronic performances using hardware or hybrid setups. This is personalized mentoring focused on your setup and how you want to perform live, whether that's a full hardware live set, a hybrid setup with a laptop, or just getting your jams at home to feel like a real performance.
Â
What we work on
- Building a live set from your own tracks and ideas
- Hardware workflow, so you spend less time menu diving and more time playing
- Choosing and arranging your setup: drum machines, synths, grooveboxes, sequencers and controllers
- Transitions, arrangement and keeping the energy moving in a live set
- Turning your jams into finished tracks
- Preparing for your first live show, or tightening up the set you already play
Â
Who this mentoring is for
This is for you if you make electronic music and want to perform it live, not just DJ it. Some people I work with already play out regularly and want a tighter, more musical set. Others have a few pieces of gear at home and aren't sure how to connect it all into something they can perform. Both are fine. We start from where you are and what you own.
Â
Torso Electronics and Elektron specialist
My specialty is Torso Electronics and Elektron gear. I use the Torso T-1 and S-4 and Elektron boxes (Digitakt, Digitone, Syntakt, Analog Rytm, Analog 4 etc) in my own live sets, so if you own any of these and want to get more out of them, we can go deep on sequencing, sound design and how to perform (and improvise) with them.
I also teach all the common gear people use for live electronic music, including other drum machines, synths, grooveboxes and hybrid setups with a laptop. Whatever you've got, we'll build your live set around it.
Â
How it works
Fill out the short application below and tell me about your setup and what you want to get out of it. If it looks like a good fit, I'll be in touch to book your first session. Sessions are 1-to-1 over video call, so you can be at your own gear while we work.

 About Your Mentor
I'm Stu, and I make music as Analog Sol. Everything I perform is improvised live on hardware, with no laptop and no pre-written tracks. Melodies, basslines, drums and arrangements are all built in real time on gear like the Torso T-1 and S-4 and Elektron boxes. You can watch full live sets on my YouTube channel to see how I play.
Before Analog Sol I spent years releasing records, touring internationally and topping charts as Bass Kleph. Between the two projects I've performed in over 30 countries and released on labels like Armada, Toolroom, Defected, Mobilee and Axtone, with support from artists like Black Coffee, Solomun and Armin van Buuren.
That adds up to decades of experience in songwriting, sound design, mixing and performance, and I've been teaching for a long time too. Analog Sol mentoring is where I teach the live side: how to step beyond playback, play your own music on hardware and improvise with confidence.
